Bruce Engnell vividly recalls traveling from his boyhood home in Illinois to Austin some 50 years ago "to show his pigs."
On Sunday afternoon, the judge of the Junior Barrow Classic at the 64th annual National Barrow Show picked out the best of 179 barrows from nine states. He named Adam Gradert's champion Hampshire from Geneseo, Ill., as the event's grand champion overall.
