People at the 64th annual National Barrow Show in Austin are likely to outnumber hogs this year, 900 of them.
The NBS begins Sunday and continues until Wednesday at the Mower County Fairgrounds.
Besides providing the best judging competition in the nation (according to NBS officials) the event is a boost to the local economy. Hope Deyo, manager of the Americinn Lodge & Suites, said it will fill all three of 'the Big Three' motels (Americinn, Holiday Inn and Day's Inn.) "I am always amazed at how many people are at this show," she said.
